I have A new Micro SD card Windows XP cannot read it or format it. It can only tell me its format is RAW. Disk Manager is no help cannot read the drive. I tried formatting in my camera it works there but the PC cannot read it. It's a Kingston 2GB card. My internet searches tells me it must be changed to FAT but not how. Can anyone help me?

Thank You
John

A raw filesystem means that it hasn't been formatted. Formatting it would change it to a format FAT that allows you to store stuff on it.
If XP cannot format it and you have some other device (such as a Digital Camera for example) that also cannot read it, then take it back to where you bought it from.

try it on a different computer. If the issue persists, then i would exchange it under warranty.
