when I start my computer it is very slow to get going and often when i am on internet I get the message 'your computer is running low on resources,close some progtams...'
When I CTRL-ALT-DEL there are 50+ programs running so I have to close them down individually before the pc will perform.
some of the programs are eg;
netri32
addez32
crof
apict32
lejy32
apiol
msbs32
lpzv32
netsb

etc.....

does anyone know what these are and how I can get rid of them..please

It looks to me like you've got some nasty malware there. You should follow the instructions here to help you get rid of them.

In general, if you have a process that you don't recognize, putting the name (including the .exe ) into google will give you an idea of what it is. If nothing helpful comes up, the process is probably a piece of malware that generates a random name for itself. I ran a few of the processes you listed through google and didn't come up with anything that looks legit. That doesn't mean you should go through randomly deleting anything that looks suspicious! Get the smart people over in the malware forum to help you, as deleting the wrong process can sometimes be quite dangerous!

Another thing you could look at is the startup list. Go to "Run" then type msconfig. Then click on the startup tab. This shows all the programs that are loaded when windows starts up. None of these have to be checked for windows to run. As you install more programs on your PC, this list will grow and grow. Look under command to see what the program is. You don't want to end a program that you need such as an anti-virus or firewall. The only programs i have running are my firewall, anti-virus and java. You can really free up some RAM by unchecking programs that you don't want and need to start.
