The Sims and Playfirst are both related to my games so those are not a worry. Generally my system runs fine because I disable almost all my startup programs using msconfig - I enable all only for the purpose of generating HiJackThis logs.

Well thats a different method to speed up the machine, a normal boot is what most people want. I would consider removing some of those disabled programs, if you do not intend on using them.

I think we removed most of the malware there, give me a report on how the system is overall please :)
I would like to mark this as resolved if you are happy with everything there.
