I saw a similar problem in the listed threads but my problem seems to be more acute.
I have a problem when I open an excel file or Microsoft Excel. (I do not have this problem with other MS Office applications.)
I get a screen with the following message-

Preparing to instal...

Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage
Please wait while Wndows configures Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage
Gathering required information..

Then a second screen with the following message appears:
Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage
The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable Disk that is not available.
Insert 'Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage'disk and click OK.

When I cancel this message, a third screen with the following message appears:
Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage
Error 1706. The setup cannot find the required files. Check your connection to the network, or CD-ROM Drive.
For other potential solutions to this problem, see C;\Program

Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\10033\SETUP.HLP.
OK

When I Ok it, a fourth screen with a message appears:
[File Name] or [Problem with Shortcut]
[File Name]
Fatal Error during installation

Can you please advise me, what problem this is and how do I solve it?
I tried to get a solution elsewhere also but the suggested solution, to contact MS Office website, did not work.

Quickest fix is to give it what it's asking for - the Office CD. How did you install Office in the first place?

This is caused by Office 2007 service pack1.
It effects Office 2002 (XP) and Office 2003.
You can not uninstall the SP, you can try a restore point, but you basicly need to reinstall your Office software.
(You will get the download for Office 2007 SP1 even if you do not have Office 2007.)
