Ok, past couple of weeks have had my first trouble with viruses. First I tried ewido.com and the like. Then I downloaded kaspersky and installed it found a few viruses but managed to kill my lan connection. no internet at all couldnt even access my router. internet was good I know b/c I could still use my wifes laptop to access the internet. System restore back and all seemed good, no slow running, internet was good, downloaded Trend micro internet security free 30 day version and it still found a couple, but everything was still fine. Everything went well for a few days until i went to play battlefield and no sound, saw "no audio devices installed" in the sound menu. Then to device manager and it was blank. Restarted and it came back but would then go away again after a 5-10 minutes. installed bitdefender and it found a few more viruses but killed my lan! So currently i have no lan at all and no device manager or audio after 10 minutes after restart.

Hello, and welcome to Geeks To Go.
I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
