I still have the same problem, when i try to connect to the internet it says "connection forcefully rejected" the only way i can access the internet is with IE, and even so i cannot view secured websites (https) none of my programs can connect to the internet for updates including adware, please anyone who could help? thanks

tried to use firefox but when it starts it says connection refused aswell.

try this!try accessing interent and all internet enabled programs by disabling nis or any other firewall you use.In this way we can figure out what's causing the problem.If the firewall is not configred properly,u get these kind of problems.It applies to secured websites.
If u use NIS,you have a concept of privacy control which if not configured restricts secured websites.
Anyway,please try disabling ther firewall and let me know whether everything works fine!In this case,we need to reconfigure the firewall features.

Ive been trying to remove norton internet security and antivirus ever since my subscription expired.... (long time) the thing is i cant!! everytime i put "unistall" it says only a supervisor can do that.... i also cant view its option to try to change account or anything because i dont have the rights... is there any way i can completly remove this ^$#@$^#@ ?? thank you once again

wow thank you.. atleast i took out norton, but i still have the same exact problem theres something blocking connection from my computer to the internet but yet i can navigate freely with IE (not any other browser) i cant even connect with my yahoo browser.. my Ares cant connect, limewire... my adware cant connect for updates.. plz help
