I've followed the instructions on the Read Here first before posting, ran everything and everything came up clean from spyware searches (just a few things to remove, nothing serious it seemed) to virus scans, so I have no idea what's making my PC start up so slowly.
If needed, my pc specs are as follows
Windows XP Pro
Pentium Dual Core 3.2 ghz
2 gigs of ram
not sure if it matters, but I have 2 hard drives, the main one is 300 gigs, with about half of it full, the other is 700 gigs also with half of it full.
I've also defragged my HD's and I'm not really seeing any improvements in start up.
I would sincerely appreciate any kind of help, thanks in advance
