Hi. I keep getting this error and after searching the net for a good fix I have yet to find one.... I have a ASUS M2A-VM AMD690G AM2 bu when i was trying to mount it I could only get 1 screw in and I have read that could be the problem but I can see that everything else is working it just keeps getting this error it is reading my ram and processor. Does anybody know a way I could fix this problem could it be I didnt mount it all the way and if it is it why wouldn't the screws screw in right when I was trying to. Thanks for any help.

Hi there, welcome to Geeks to Go!

Have you tried following the steps in this link? Specifically try building the computer out of the case (bottom set of instructions in that link) and see if it fixes the problem.

Sometimes if the motherboard does not line up properly you need to double check the I/O back plate is lined up properly and pushed in. I once had a motherboard not fit in properly, it took me about 5 minutes of hard looking to notice that one corner of the I/O back plate was half-in. Once I finished popping it in (and it was very tight), everything fit perfectly :)

If you can't get it fitting in right, I really recommend you take it down to a professional local repair store and get them to pop it in for you.

Cheers
