Hey guys, dunno if this was the right place to post but i'm having a slight problem.

I got this problem on my laptop last night and ever since then, i've had this error message coming up which i believe is being send by the virus.

Posted Image

I believe the file causing this is AcroIEhelper - which is said to be an adobe file, but i think it's not, mainly because it is in my C drive and then in the windows file with all my system files - i've done abit of research, and the actully adobe file is not needed, so i've tried to delete this fake AcroIEhelper but it won't let me.

Anyone got any idea of how to solve this problem and prevent that error message coming up everytime i click on some thing?

Much appriciated.

Hello,
I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Hello Robbo and welcome to Geeks to Go.

Please follow the valuable suggestions hfcg has made.

If you are still having problems after you have been cleared by the Malware staff please post in the forum they suggest or in the forum you feel is most appropriate. The Discussion Forums (Random, Technical, Serious and Jokes & Forum Games) are not for members' specific computer problems.

If you are unsure about where to post please feel free to PM me or any of the Mods/Admins.
