Hi,
I am trying to uninstall Call of Duty 2, and Installshield will load up 4 or 5 bars, then just close.
I went in safe mode, and the error said:
Error 1719. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact
your support personnel for assistance.

My system specs are:
Windows Vista Premium 32 bit
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ 1.90 GHz
Motherboard: Dell Inc.
Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce 6150
Southbridge: NVIDIA nForce 410/430 MCP
BIOS: Dell Inc
Version 1.1.11
Memory Type: DDR2
RAM: 3070 MB

I did that, then tried to install the game.
Right at the end of the installation, it said,
"DirectX was unable to be installed properly. Please re-install DirectX before running the game."

???

go to http://microsoft.com/directx to obtain the latest version. Download and install. It will update components as needed.

All I did to solve that directx problem is I uninstalled the game, and tried the game (for the second time) and it worked.
