Hello

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • If your anti-virus or firewall complains, please allow this script to run as it is not malicious.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Well your logs are clean

This must be a hardware issue

I would recommend that you fully remove McAfee as it could be conflicting with Avira and causing the BSOD's

Download and run the McAfee Removal Tool from here

http://ts.mcafeehelp...tegoryId=107187

Reboot and see if the problem persists.

Wow! That worked very well!
I've always had it all disabled, but why was that slowing down my computer so much?

A lot of security programs use drivers to work properly, so even if you have disabled them, the drivers will still load. This can cause problems as it can conflict with other drivers.

I had a BSOD myself last week from a driver error. That is why we always tell users not to have more than one anti-virus or firewall

Do you have any questions or problems or shall we close the thread ?
