Yes you seem to have it installed now

However I would not recommend that you go use it unless your PC suffers some major problem

For your other questions, the tech guys in the Windows XP forum would be able to answer them better than I

Let me know if you have any other questions

So, then, that little dinky (NOT full OS install) 'System Restore' disk that eMachines included, plus the installed Recovery Console, act exactly like an emergency boot-up disk ??? That is, it is tantamount to having created a floppy boot disk for emergencies?

If so, then the malware is cleansed from the PC, most of it's damage is repaired, and we've properly installed the Recovery Console so I can boot-up from the eMachine 'System Recovery' disk if there's an emergency.

You warn against checking it out, test it, to make sure....so I will leave it alone and just hope I never have to use it.

Unless something else comes up in the next few days, we'll officially close this topic now. Thanks for your help 'Baron' R-112. I have sent about $10. US via PayPal, enough to buy a gallon or so of gasoline in Europe. Sorry the American (and British and Arabian) Oil Companies are so greedy.

Wishing you the best,
