Hi,
(This would be my last problem that I will have for a while)
Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4 requires a headset, or else it will close.
Does anyone know how to have Cod2 and Cod4 not require a headset?
Also if I load the game, I can take out the headset and the game would still work.

My system specs are:
Windows Vista Premium 32 bit, Dimension C521
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ 1.90 GHz
Motherboard: Dell Inc.
Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce 6150
Southbridge: NVIDIA nForce 410/430 MCP
BIOS: Dell Inc
Version 1.1.11
Memory Type: DDR2
RAM: 3070 MB
Network Adapter: Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller
Sound, Video, Game Controllers: SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC

And also, I tried disabling the Sigmatel Audio driver, and Call of Duty 2 worked, but Call of Duty 4 did not.

try going into the game options and disable in-game voice support.

I went to the Device Manager, Properties on SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC, then the Driver Tab, and it says the driver version is 6.10.0.5511. But the problem is, it will not let me roll back the driver.

Check the website of the company that made the computer, many offer "factory installed" driver downloads.

Argh... I will regret the day I upgraded all my drivers :)
I upgraded to the latest sound driver, and still no luck on both games.
Call of Duty 2 will only work if I plug my headset in or disable the sound on my computer.
Call of Duty 4 will only work if I plug my headset in.
I even uninstalled CoD4 and installed it again, and no luck.
This is probably the only time in Vista where I actually had difficult problems (I had Vista for 8 months).
