Hi,

My AVG Free edition anti-virus says that the internal virus database is out of date and needs updating. I have therefore, clicked on update (as I usually do), but the update fails as apparently there are no update files available.

I have tried to go on http://free.grisoft....update/us/frt/0, to manually download the upgrades, but the page is always busy.

Does anyone else have the same problem? Or does anyone else know what to do.

I'm new to this forum, so this is probably in the wrong section LOL :)

please help.

As I was able to reach that webpage without issue, I suspect that you may have other issues on your end.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
