Haven't got an error so no need to run, but it's good to know there is something other than detect and repair or re-install to try

in outlook, pull down file and export your data into a file with .pst extension. that is the one you'll run the fix program on.

Word 2003- I have the same problem with not being able to save the the changes made in normal.dot I'm trying to save the change from Letter by default to A4. I have installed Adobe reader 8, I completely uninstalled, and tried again to save the change I made, to no avail. If anybody has any ideas I would really like to know, otherwise its change the setting every time I use Word2003.

Hello all,

I just wish to thank everybody especially for the normal.dot-acrobat thing that prevented word from saving any changes to normal.dot in my case too.
I actually spent 3 hours looking to solve this issue but i could only find the answer on this forum.
I adopted solution number 3 at the suggested link, that is to add Save All button on the Quick Access Toolbar.

And now, the big surprise: I am actually running Microsoft Office 2007 together with Acrobat 8, everything up-to-date, and on a Vista Ultimate system!!!

So this issue is not only present in case of Word 2003 or bellow, and Acrobat 7, respectively, but in case of Word 2007 and Acrobat 8, too. Cannot believe this is happening, but it's all true.

If anyone else has had this issue with Word 2007 and Acrobat 8, please post.

Answer to normal.dot not being saved from MS office 2003 with Adobe Acrobat standard 7.0.

Open word make changes click on file and you will see no save all then click back in the
document and then hold the shift up button over the control button and click again on
file and you can now see save all and click on save all close word and check by opening
word again that all changes have been saved.
The reson being that the Adobe Acrobat standard 7.0 has a registry key set not to save the
word normal.dot.

Any question you can write me at any time.
