I am pretty new to solving computer problems and I need help. I wanted to
view the source code of web pages but could not.

Here's my problem.

I used to be able to view the source code of a web page. But for some
reason when I try to view the code a window pops up that says
c:\windows\system32\notelpad.exe
"windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not
have the appropriate permissions to access this item."

I have recently upgraded my zone alarm virus/spyware protection.

Maybe I did something wrong.

Thank you for the help,
rrvrs

Hi there,

May I suggest you post this problem in the XP Forum where you'll be able to get better and more professional help as well as faster replies :) This is just a random discussion forum.

No, we prefer to move a thread rather than have the user start a new one. I'm moving this to the XP forum as it doesn't appear to be malware related.

Also, before anyone else helps you, you might check your initial post since it appears that you have a typo in the filename. If not, Ive already found your problem.
