Video card or driver doesnt support alpha blending

hey all, im new to this site and this is my first post so go easy....

im trying to install and play Call of Duty 4 on my Windows XP, but everytime i go to run the game i get the following error message, "Video card or driver doesnt support alpha blending". is there anything i can download to support alpha blending or do i need a new card?

Hi Dan, welcome.

You didn't say what kind of video card you have so it's hard to help. You can try downloading the latest driver from either the computer manufacturers web site or the video manufacturers web site.

If that doesn't help you will need a new cad.
