Actually I just found a permissions bug.
I tried to welcome a new member and it said I don't have permission to post.

Actually, that's not a permissions bug.

Since the GeekU mod found tons of people posting for malware help in the intro forum, GeekU students aren't allowed to post there anymore

Geeks in Training are not allowed to reply to malware topics without supervision. Since some of the replies in the welcome forum were more malware advice than welcome, we decided that we needed limit the permissions there too.

Nope, because many of them ask for Malware advice in there . There are plenty of staff that can and do welcome new users though, so don't think their topics aren't going to be replied to .
