So i edited a few things on the registry to help my sisters computer and they were:

menushowdelay - changed from 400 to 0 to make the menu quicker
waittokillapptime - changed from 200 to 1000
hungappptimeout
autoendtask

And then now their MSN isnt working, i have restored it, re-installed it, tried other versions, to no aval...

I really need help, it says on troubleshooting that it cant connect to:

IE offline settings

Wireless

But where i restord the PC it still isnt working adn it has changed the registry back... it cant be that?
So i dont know what to do, the internet still works so it cant be IE problems...

Hello Alex_McIntosh,

Even though IE still works, you may want to try reinstalling it, as some of the settings may have gotten messed up. I'd also make sure that nothing is blocking MSN either.

Regards,

Ax

Experimentation is a good way to learn, but probably best performed on your own system. :)

They asked me to be. :) Actually, I was recruited from another forum in which I contribute. Help was needed to train members in the Tech Academy and for some reason, I got picked. I thoroughly enjoy helping others learn and contributing here, although being a mod gives you more responsibilities as well. We have got a great moderating and administrative team here and I'm proud to be a part of it, people who care and are willing to give of themselves to help others. The reward is in doing, without expecting anything.

I learn something new everyday. I've been working with PCs for about nine years now, so I've got some background knowledge as well.
