i recently purchased a wireless g router and g pci adapter and set them up. the internet works fine on both, but the file sharing or print service doesnt

1) it will recognize the printer on the computer with the router, but when i go to print it, it gives me an error saying File failed to print, i called the company (HP) and they said it was a software problem, and then said it would cost me money to fix <_<

2) the file sharing just doesnt work, i can see the 2 folders that you would put your files in, but when i click on them nothing happens, (for the computer that has the adapter)

for file sharing on the computer i have the router on, it lets me see both folders, click on the folder for which i can add files from that computer, but when i click on the folder to recieve files from the other computer it gives me another error

the error is MYCOMPUTER is not accsesable. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have accsess permisions.

The network path is not found

PLEASE HELP!! :D

are the computers on the same domain. to check right click on my computer and go to properties and look under the computer name tag.

also, if the printer is hooked up to a computer, make sure that computer is on.

are they the same workgroup name. Also, are you sharing the printer and the files? Double check the sharing properties.

i got a separate printer to fix that problem, i find no point to turn that other computer on just to print, but i need file sharing!! <_<

i got the computer with the router to let me see what im sharing to the other computer, but it doesnt show the folder from the other computer- the files i would recieve

the computer that has the adapter lets me see both folders -sharing and recieving, but when i click either folders nothing happens (even when i click a folder that im sharing thats on my harddrive in the network, nothing happens)

i went into my network places, entire network, mshome- the name of my workgroup and clicked on it, it gave me this error

"MSHOME is not accsesible, you do not have the permission to use this netowrk resource. contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have accsess permission. the list of servers for this work group is currently not availible
