Hello,

Download Ewido security suite: http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Let it update, but don't let it run yet.

* Reboot into Safe Mode`:
°To get into Safe mode as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

*Go to start > run and type: cleanmgr and click ok.
Let it scan your system for files to remove.
Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.
Press OK to remove them.

Perform a full scan with Ewido.
Let it delete everything it is finding.
When done, you'll have the option to save a log.

Reboot back to normal mode.

Download Findit
Unzip it to your desktop. Make sure the FindIt's.bat and XFind.com are together in the same UNZIPPED folder!

Doubleclick FindIt's.bat and post the log you get in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog and the log from the ewidoscan.
If you get an error with autoexec.exe..... Pleas download next fix and use it: http://www.visualtou...oads/xp_fix.exe
Try findit's again then.

Hi there,

* Download Killbox.
Click killbox.exe.
Select the option "Delete on reboot".

Now copy the next bold:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\bingo_big2.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\creditcard32123123123asdsa1.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dice21.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\greenmovie2313asaadsasfad.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\greenmovie2313asaadsasfad112341231adsfa.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\kas pink1233aadsfa1.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\kas pink1233aadsfa12.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\kill popups.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\kill spyware1.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mp3red51aads.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mp3red51aads1.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\popupkiller2asdf1.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vh e2331.ico
C:\WINDOWS\System32\THIN-9~1.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\NAIL.EXE

Open 'file' in the killboxmenu on top and choose Paste from clipboard

Now you will see, this is pasted in the "Full Path of File to Delete"-field.
There's a little arrow (dropdown-arrow) next to that field.
If you expand it, these lines must be there together if the files are present!

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be deleted on next reboot.. Click YES
When it asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you get a "PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!" message then just restart manually.

Your computer must reboot now.

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
O2 - BHO: ohb - {999A06FF-10EF-4A29-8640-69E99882C26B} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsf43.dll (file missing)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Media Access] C:\Program Files\Media Access\MediaAccK.exe
O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe (file missing)

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Go to start > run and type: sc delete SvcProc
click Ok

Reboot again and post a new hijackthislog.

Good job! That log looks clean again!

I suggest you perform a full systemscan with an updated Adware SE to get rid of the leftovers.

When done, An important thing to do is please disable your systemrestore.(note: this will delete all your system restore points and malware that were present in it).
How to disable system restore in XP
Reboot.. and after rebooting, enable it again, so a new systemrestorepoint will be made. A clean one now!

To keep this clean in the future, I would suggest the following things:

Install Spywareblaster
SpywareBlaster doesn`t scan and clean for so-called spyware, but prevents it from being installed in the first place. It blocks the popular spyware ActiveX controls, and also prevents the installation of any of them via a webpage.

Let your antispywarescanner(s) scan frequently and don't forget to update before.

And I do suggest you perform an online virusscan once in a while. (Etrust and/or Bitdefender). Because what one virusscanner can't find another one maybe can.
Also make sure that your virusscanner, the one that is installed on your system is always up to date!

Make sure your windows has the latest updates: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

More info on how to prevent malware you can also find here (By Tony Klein)

Happy surfing again!
