I have a thinkpad notebook, it is quite old. the display card is a savage IX. Recently windows did all sorts of updates and now the screen only comes on if the driver is turned off. I have tried installing the lastest driver for the savage IX but with no luck. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks

Have you tried rolling back the driver?
  • Click on the start button
  • Select control panel
  • Open system
  • Select hardware
  • Select device manager
  • Right click the video card
  • select properties
  • Select roll back driver
