Hey i am new here i did do a search and found some people with the same problem i read the threats but nothing fixed my problem. Anyways i was on the internet and i suddlenly i see this big circle X on my taskbar it looked like a windows icon at first, but then my home page in IE changed to http://www.hotoffers.info/ad0179/ and i got like 15 icons on my desktop about pornography drugs and stuff like that every time i try to erase them the come back. when i click on the X in opens a IE window to http://www.hotoffers.info/ad0179/ and it constantly says warning virus detected "your system is attacked by stealth.Hjack virus download appropriate ad-aware remover here. Then when i am online i get pop ups to http://www.hotoffers...weightloss.html and other similar stuff please i need some help i currently have Mcaffe security system SP2 Ad-aware SE, and Spyware doctor. BTW my computer now is slower and takes a while to boot here is the latest hijack this log file

1) Disconnect from the internet and close any other open windows.

2) You'll need to find the dll file in order to permanently exorcise this pest.

You might want to also run an online scan using Trendmicro

Run the EScan tool. The scan with that tool will produce a log ... it will uncover the the dll. Then it is a simple matter to unregister the dll and use the Killbox to eradicate any infected files.

Usually the culprits are these:

C:\WINNT\System32\systr.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\guninst.exe

Run Killbox

Check the box that says 'Unregister DLL before deleting' and Delete on Reboot.

In the "Full Path of File to Delete" field copy/paste these files below. Copy one file at a time and click the red circle with the white X in it. First click yes, then when it asks you to reboot, click No. Then enter the other files and click yes to reboot when you are done with the last

Then post a fresh Hjt log and tell us how things are.
