Unable to open youtube

I have been unable to open youtube for the last several days. Had no problem before. When I try to open youtube, most of it loads, except for "2 items remaining"; I don't get error messages. There have been a few other sites that I've had trouble with, especially ones with graphics. This is all new. I am a newbie. I tried a system restore, and that didn't help. I tried a checkdsk, that also didn't help resolve anything.

Any ideas on what I could try next? Thank you.

How to:
* Fix the Youtube error message 'Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player'.
* Check the version of Flash Player installed on your PC
* Fix common Flash Player installation errors
* Download the latest version of Flash Player as a single installation file
