Welcome to Geeks to Go.

I curious as to why you want to upgrade as well. Is you PSU/MOBO SLI compatible?

Hi there,
  • What version of 8800GTS graphics card do you have? (i.e. how much RAM does the card have?)
  • What make/model of PSU do you have?
It might not be very cost effective to upgrade this machine, as most of those components are very good. Depending on what you do with your system, it might be worth upgrading the motherboard, HSF, and do some overclocking.

Cheers

Don't see how you would need to upgrade that beast O.o

maybe to a GTX or something, but that Proc is pretty good. unless you want a QX or a Wolfdale

maybe upgrading to a 780i to get 3way SLI and get 3 8800gt (G92) 512mbs

also you could upgrade to a 64bit OS to get more RAM into that system.

Yea that looks pretty good to me you would just be pretty much throwing money away. The only thing i would even THINK about upgrading it the GPU but even that its not worth it.

probably best to leave well alone, but if you do decide to upgrade then you can send your old parts my way :)
