Hello guys.

Have a laptop with Windows 98 installed on it with Word, Excel and a few others installed.

I can't access my applications directly (have to do so through Windows Explorer) because whenever I try to go there via the Start menu I get an error which says

"Cannot locate immwfb.exe" and I get a dialogue box asking me to locate it.

I'm stumped, as are many of the great minds whom I have asked for help on it.

Sounds like a program that is no longer on your system is trying to run.
I cant find anything on the net about that 'immwfb.exe'(correct spelling?)
Open Msconfig and see if it is in the starup menu, if it is try disabling it.
Hope that helps.
