Speaker problems on laptop

I have a HP Pavilion zd8000 laptop and the speakers on the base of the laptop have minimal sound that comes from them. I have re-installed the drivers, and it goes back to normal, but every time I restart the computer the the speakers go out again.

Hi highsociety112,

assuming you're using any version of windows as your OS,please get a windows update first.

then un-install the sound driver from Add/remove programs,
after that,go to device manager & under sounds,games & video controller,
check if you still see the sound card in there,if it does,right click & un-install it.
reboot your machine & install the sound driver manually.

if that didn't worked,please download & save the latest sound driver for your laptop from the link below.
(select your product model & OS).
