Hello I would love some advice regarding my situation.
I am currently working at a small rural doctors office trying to bring them up live on the GE Centricity Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) systems. A local hospital actually houses the program and stores the information. The offices that we are bringing up on the systems are accessing the program via the internet using nfuse which connects us to citrix program neighborhood. The problem that we are having at this site is that the computers are hanging up a lot while using the program.. I have noticed that it is also hanging up when using other sites such as google and ask.com but more so when using the GE programs. The current site that we are having the problem with is using cable internet instead of DSL (we suggested they use DSL) We have not had any problems with the "hanging up" at any other sites. My department feels that the doctors office is having problems due to their internet connection but the doctors office IT guy swears the problem is on our end with the Citrix server connecting to them... (again no other site has had problems such as this) Could this also be a problem with their pc's memory? I am not a techy person, just a RN working for an IT dept training the emr. What are your thoughts?

Hi tarat :)

This could be caused by many things. Mainly process of elimination works. Test the internet connection, make sure the computers have decent resources etc. Since there is already IT staff dealing with it I would suggest leaving it to them.
