hi,

I have a similar problem, except that I don't get an error message.
When I double click a file on the networked drive, the icon (in 2007 Excel, PPT etc) just keeps spinning.
I tried checking/unchecking the "ignore" option, but to no avail.

Any help would be very appreciated!
thanks in advance

I was unable to open (in excel 2003) any excel file that was over 1mb in size over a mapped network drive. It worked just a day or so ago, so i was going to uninstall and reinstall office, but noticed that there was an office validation add-in. I uninstaled that, and things seem fine now.
so much for validation by microsoft!!!!!
