Quicktime in Leopard!

I have been using Leopard for about 2 weeks now and when I try to play .mp4 video files that I have recorded and converted and downloaded from ustream.tv, I get an error message that say "An invalid sample description was found in the movie." Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
