drivelock hdd bay password

Hi everyone

My daughter dropped her laptop and when we tried turning it on it takes us to a screen with a blue square and message saying drivelock HDD bay password also displaying a key. How do I get the password. I've tried everything HELP!!!!!!

This can also happen if the HDD isn't connected well. This could be caused by the jolt from dropping it. Unplug the laptop and remove the battery and then try to locate the compartment that houses the HDD and make sure that it is plugged in all the way. The best way is to unplug and replug it. It may have screws that secure it so make sure to remove those before you try to disconnect it. :)
