I am having a problem with my Java. I use it daily for my job and it worked fine last night. Today, it is broken. I have Vista and Java 6.

It did this before when there was an automatic update done. I fixed it. Then I turned off automatic updates so I can choose if I want the updates. And I did not do any updates yesterday or today prior to it breaking.

The first message I got was: Unable to connect to agent server: IO error creating socket for (website name) connection timed out: connect no connection.

The steps I took:
I unistalled Java, then reinstalled. No change
Ran CC Cleaner
Ran scandisk
defragged

No change still

Did a system restore to the last day it was working fine. Rebooted
Unistalled then reinstalled java

Still not working. At one point instead of giving me the error msg above it did just say could not connect after 5 attempts.

Now it has the IO error message again.

I don't understand the java jargon that I did find about this, so if anyone can tell me how to fix this I would be ever so grateful.

And I need a fix asap. Without my java working, I cant work.

THANKS!!
