Is there a way to connect a second hard drive to a computer with a different operating system. I want to install a good hard drive with windows XP Pro into a computer with windows XP. Can that work?

Probably the easiest and safest way is to disconnect the current drive and hook the new one in it's place, then install the XP Pro on it. After you've done that hook the old drive into the slave position and modify the boot.ini file of the XP Pro drive to allow booting the slave drive too. The XP Pro drive will be on the master connector of the IDE cable and the XP will be on the slave position.

Sorry, we don't assist with problems relating to illegal software, that is a definite violation of GeeksToGo Terms Of Use, read here: http://www.geekstogo...boardrules.html
