So I have this external enclosure with a hd in it that was hooked up to my old computer. I got a new computer when I plug it in it doesnt show up. If I go to disk manager I can see it but it says the space is all unallocated. I know there is stuff on the drive as I used it before. It is very important that I recover whats on the drive. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I've had that problem with some drives. My fix is to install the drive as a slave in a computer and try accessing it that way. Out of 5 drives this worked 4 times. One drive i just could not access in any configuration at all. I ended up using TestDisk to recover about 60% of the files off the drive.
