Looks good do monitor your computer and let me know if anything changes.
In the meantime we will cleanup what we used and also keep me posted.

If you do notice anything then redownload Deckard System scanner and post both logs it produces.
But if nothing changes then don't download it

=================================================
Have Hijackthis fix these entries below:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [kxva] C:\WINDOWS\system32\kxvo.exe

Then Close Hijackthis.
=================
Cleanup::
  • Make sure you have an Internet Connection.
  • Double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Click on the CleanUp! button
  • A list of tool components used in the Cleanup of malware will be downloaded.
  • If your Firewall or Real Time protection attempts to block OtMoveit2 to reach the Internet, please allow the application to do so.
  • Click Yes to begin the Cleanup process and remove these components, including this application.
  • You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

Delete\Uninstall anything else that we have used.
================
Then I will need you to reset your System Restore points.
The link below shows how to create a clean restore point.
How to Turn On and Turn Off System Restore in Windows XP
http://support.micro...kb/310405/en-us
==========================================
And at this point your logs are clean.
Go for a few days and let me know if anything has changed then we can go on to the 3rd computer. :)

I've done everything and after observing, here's what I found: Mozilla's "page connot be displayed" is again redirected to a site similar to what we encountered in computer 1. Any suggestion on how we can completely eradicate this? Thanks!

Yes you can reformat it.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Then go to STart > Run then paste in this "%userprofile%\desktop\dss.exe" /config place a check next to everything listed and then hit scan or ok.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

No because the same services are not present on this computer.

Download GMER from here:
http://www.gmer.net/files.php

Unzip it to the desktop.

Open the program and click on the Rootkit tab.
Make sure all the boxes on the right of the screen are checked, EXCEPT for ‘Show All’.
Click on Scan.
When the scan has run click Copy and paste the results (if any) into this thread.
