Slow Internet After Uninstalling Fedora Core 3

Hi, Ive just uninstalled fedora core 3 off a dual boot with xp everything has gone fine but i seem to be getting slow internet and 504 (Gateway Timeout) when trying to access webservers or the router in my local network but i cant find out what is causing it and im not sure wich file to edit to fix this problem my oparating system is Windows XP Pro SP2.
