Per my previous post, do you currently have any version of Alcohol 120% or SPTD installed (or Daemon tools)?

I ran Search and it came up with these two. Written exactly as they were onscreen:

CIDAEMON C:\I386 4 KB EX_File 31/03/2003 10:00 PM

cidaemon C:\WINDOWS\system32 8 KB Application 4/08/2004 10:00 PM

That's a normal XP file, comes right off the CD.

Update:

All usb hard drives will autoplay/run

Neither DVD or CD will autoplay/run

I have finally found a cure for the Autoplay not working on the DVD and CD drives.

Hidden in Microsoft's lists of fixes, I came across this:

Use "fixautorun-xp" by just double clicking and the

use "AutoFix"

and finally Rebooting the system.

All is now working well.
