Laptop wont boot, beeps and black screen

Well ih ave a Toshiba Satellite 1100 series, new hard drive, ram, and power suppply.

When i turn it on the screen stays totally black and it beeps.


First its one short beep.

then 3 short beeps

long pause

3 short beeps
long pause

1 beep.


How would i go about repairing this?

Put the original memory back in. If it works again, it doesn't like your new memory.

well that fixed it... bad memory. still concidering buying a new laptop, this one is quite a many years old. and the battery has recently died -.- (wont charge up) going to be difficult to find a laptop under 400 dollars that isnt madly out of date.
