Ok as said previously, I am an idiot. My friend was cleaning out my computer and deleted my realtek audio device, now I have no sound on my laptop! I tried to download it again from the realtek site but it took 20 minutes to download and then didn't work. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME BEFORE I HURT MY POOR LITTLE LAPTOP EVEN MORE!!! :)

You need to download the correct driver from the laptop manufacturer's website. This is because most laptops use modified drivers. The one you downloaded is a 'straight' unmodified driver which is probably why it doesn't work.

ok so i did that, i downloaded the audio file for an acer aspire 5600.. but it said the file is invalid or corrupted?
help
