Hi,

I have a problem with my work laptop where it comes up with a security alert stating that there is mo firewall turned on, and when I click the box to fix the problem, I cannot enable the firewall.

This is a work laptop, and not my home PC, so I'm not the administrator. The IT Manager re-formatted the hard drive and reloaded Windows XP Professional, but the problem has still remained. Whereas I might not be able to fix the problem myself, I was wondering if there were any steps I could try which could help point to the cause.

I am particularly worried because I have to use unsecured hotel networks when I'm away on business, and I'm worried my laptop may have been hacked.

Lloyd

Sorry if I posted it on the wrong forum!
