hi

purchased a dell 5000 from auction site in the uk and when i connected all cables and power supply - then i heard a bang/smoke and now it dead...

i checked to see what might have caused it and to my surprise i found the voltage at rear had been changed to 115 instead of 230.

what damage would this cause -would i just have to change the psu or would it be more serious

thanks

your other parts could be blown too.

do you have a spare PSU to test with?

if you do, just plug them in and see if the parts still work.
