General question here: In Windows 2000, is it possible to turn off the HD error checking thats done on restart once flag has been switched on? Running into a situation where the machine has other responsibilities, the process is taking way too long, and am unable to bypass it.
Starting in safemode hangs and booting to command prompt hangs as well. Is this just a quark in 2000 where it just has to complete the error checking task before windows will boot?
I have a feeling there is a simple solution that I'm overlooking here.
