I have Quad Q6600 2.4 ghz cpu 3071 gbs of ram Vista 32 bit . I have 4 slots for Ram sticks , 3 are full [ all 1 gb sticks ] . They are selling the 2 gb ram sticks for pretty cheap at a store near me . Can I use a 2gb stick with 2 or 3 one gb sticks ?

I haven't tried too hard to learn too much about RAM but what I have learned is that computers like even numbers. If they're actually pretty cheap as in a good deal I'd suggest getting 2 of the 2GB sticks and keeping the individual 1GB around in case of emergency. If it's only a slight deal, you could use a 2GB and 2 of the 1GB. 4GB of RAM will be more than enough for almost anyone and I'm not sure what restrictions/capabilities Vista has in terms of RAM either.
