I downloaded the latest version of AdAware (free scan) from the Lavasoft forum and noticed that items were re-appearing quite rapidly. I removed all infections, "privacy" objects, then opened up a browser (IE7), clicked on my personalized google home page, immediately closed the browser and ran a scan. Multiple instances of ad.yieldmanager were written to the scan log before I stopped it. I then searched for ad.yieldmanager and saw that it is malware.

I then downloaded Trend Micro HIjackThis and tried, and failed to upload the logfile, which I had saved as a file named HyJackThis.log. The file was rejected. Please let me know what to do to get rid of ad.yieldmanager.

Thanks.
