I had problems with my computer a few months ago and a buddy of mine re-installed windows for me. I am now trying to download the Windows Defender, but the version on my computer doesn't pass Microsoft's validation screening. I still have my key for Windows stuck to the bottom of my store bought computer. Is there any way for me to assign this key to the OS I am currently running, or will I have to re-install?
