Every so often this popup window will just appear in the middle of my screen. It seems to happen whenever I click on a file. But I have no idea what triggers it to start happening. When it does start up I either click OK or on the close button in the upper right hand corner. But the problem is that it will happen over and over again when I click on somthing, untill it decides to stop; which I also don't know the reason for. When it pops up I am not trying to start Acrobat Pro like it thinks I am. Can anybody tell me what I can do to keep this from happening?

Adobe Acrobat opens pdf files, or .pdf. There are other free options that are Open-Source in the case of not getting the Professional version, but let us see what we can do.
Obviously, it is asking you to open another Adobe component such as Adobe Photoshop before running the professional version - I would recommend trying this first then clicking on a file that opens this window in previous experience. If this does not work, please reply.

Alright next time I see this window I'll go straight to opening photoshop. I have no idea when it'll happen next though.

OK it happened again.
After it came up I started up Photoshop. Then I clicked on the file again, yet again the popup happened.
After that I closed Photoshop and clicked the file again. It stopped after that.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening at all? Starting up and closing Photoshop isn't exactly a "quick" fix.

Is there a notification service in Adobe Professional, such as in the Options? Is there a service that uses this in Windows (see below):
Go to "Start" "Run" and type "msconfig"
Navigate to the services tab (click "Hide all Microsoft Services") and look for a service similar to an Adobe sounding name.
It may be possible to run a service simply in the taskbar and not associated with the large process memory common adobe applications use.
