Hello there and thanks for your time.
The computer is an ASUS A7V600-X Sempron 2800+(2GHz) 768mb of ram and a NVidia 5500FX 256mb video card.

I'm having troubles when I try to play games that feature 3d graphics or even while trying to see videos on youtube, the computer starts making weird noises in the speakers and crashes. I tried using the computer with another hard drive, nother video card and different RAM sticks with no avail.

Anybody knows what is up with it? I'm out of ideas.

It might be some corrupted drivers.
Try downloading new video card drivers from nvidia.com

Oops, forgot to said that I did that already. I unistalled the current drivers and installed the old ones, it didn't work. Then I updated with the latest ones and didn't work either.
