I am having a new, strange problem I do not know how to fix. I have Windows XP.

Three "Unknown Devices" have started appearing on my laptop. It is a 2 year old Toshiba M55 Satelite.

It started when I plugged a brand new Wacom Tablet into my computer (which works perfect on any other computer)... the tablet brought up a Found New Hardware wizard, which kept being unable to find drivers even after installing them with the install disc.

A long story short, something started to eat away at my computer until I grabbed everything off of it and decided to do a clean install. I used the Toshiba recovery disc which brought it to its factory settings with a new install of XP.

....The unknown devices are still showing up, still pulling up New Hardware Found wizards when my computer boots.

Properties:

Device Type: Other devices
Manufacter: Unknown
Location: on Microsoft ACPI-Copmpliant Embedded Controller

All three unknown devices are the same thing.

I am at my wits end. I don't know what to do.

Edit: For anyone who finds this thread later! ------ I did a double update of my bios, and BOOM. Worked just fine. ^_^ Went to the manufacters website, got the latest bios for my specific computer... and bam. MAKE SURE TO READ THE README FILE!
