Hi All,
I have been round the houses a few times but cannot seem to remedy this problem of no sound after unistalling Vista and replacing it with XP pro' on my Packard Bell Easynote laptop MX37-T-003,
I have tried down loading and installing the new drivers from Realtek but I get an error message at the end of the install cannot complete error 0001. I have tried a SP2 patch Q888111 but still to no avail. M.B. is Packard Bell BV T12C the audio is Realtek ALC660 High Def' audio codec which is the one I have tried to install but with no joy. Please can somebody give a few pointers how to correct this problem I would be so grateful.
Regards Chris Bee

It seems that all the drivers to your laptop, as shown in this link, are written to work with Vista. A driver written by Realtek may be modified by the laptop manufacturer in a way that will not allow it's installation from the source. Always, the best way to download a driver is from the computer manufactirer's site.

Have you tried Packard Bells support?
