A couple of nights ago my Outlook Express delete stopped working - I have Windows XP, Outlook Express 6, AVG, and what I thought was a normal working email system. Until I started to delete some emails as usual and the "X" didn't work, under file the delete wouldn't work, and I couldn't drag them off to the recycle bin or the delete box. This happens in both the sent and inbox, but once in the delete box, they get deleted. I do not have anything in the Outbox. I was able to get a few in the delete box, but now I can't get any to move and an error message pops up each time:
The selected message(s) could not be removed. An error has occurred.
I have NEVER had this happen before and after contacting AT&T, they sset up a new email identity to help me until I can get this figured out. AVG hasn't indicated any viruses or infections, but this has to be something like that. It is not normal and I cannot find any help to figure out what is wrong.
Anyone have/had a problem like this?
Thank you for any information and help! I do not have a clue as to what to do.

Moving this to the Web Browsers and Email forum.

I would bet that your mailbox is corrupt. Try these instructions.
